Education has become a remarkable issue nowdays. In other words, today,
education is important to create a thrive in society´s development.
Education offers a variety of advantages, such as, cultural interaction,
posiibilities to acquire a better job and it presents the students or
people with reality. Furthermore, education must be perceived as any
type of learning process becuase for some people education is limited to
a room where a persons gives and assigns topics. Education has gone
beyond four walls which means that a person out in the streets can be
educated, for instance, a person in a store, soccer field or restaurant
might learn.
Althought education is perceived and known to be a
relevant aspect in society, not all people are gaining the best of it.
Thought some people want to learn, they do not do it as expected because
of a hindrance. Some hindrances to be taken into account are dislexia
nd aphasia. Dislexia is defined as an impedient in skills used to learn a
second language, specifically, in the reading party, whereas Aphasia is
a disability related to the language whch might range from forgetting a
language to being completely unable to speak, read or write. It is
believed that dislexia affect forom 5% to 10% of society and some
symptoms of people who have dislexia are: they are considered dumb, lazy
or bagd behavior. Also, these people get good grades in the oral part
but when are asked to read or write
they suffer severe changes.In
addition, people tend to mispronouce long words, leave incomplete
sentences, complain of aches when reading and have problems when holding
the pen. On the other hand, aphasia is related to frequent headaches or
strokes on the head. Describing the typical aphasia is hard because not
all people suffer the disease the same way but the msot commom symptons
are inability in all English skills( reading, writig, oral and
speakin). Other important aspects of aphesia are that students forget
the name of the objects, constantly apply neologist ( words that are
new and haven´t been accepted in aformal way yet)and tend to repeat
phrases without understanding the message.
There is not a cure
for Dislexia but if patients are treated early they can learn to write
and read. Teachers need to develop efficient methods for students when
reading, such as, reading the first and last sentence of each chapter to
get the major aspects of the whole story. Give readings to the students
that are not long; try to teach them by using small reading with easy
and convenient vocabulary. For people who suffer aphasia there is also
no cure because the disease can be presented in different ways, so
teachers tend to teach studenst to develop a base in reading, writing
and speaking. By using key elements in the learning process, such as,
technology teachers have been able to develop a lot with studenst,
Although people who have aphesia wont never read, write, or speak like
the average person they learn to understand the basic elements of a
language.
To sum up, although education is the base for the
sucess of the world as a whole it still has to face and overcame many
challenges like aphasia and dislexia to allow all people to get the
best of education.
